Beginning, Wednesday June 6 – Cardio & Strength: Boot Camp in the Park – 6:00 pm – At the Pav at Wolf Lake.

FREE- They want to keep you guessing – and challenge you differently in every class! Workouts are designed to improve your overall fitness – strength, cardio, flexibility, agility and endurance! Have fun – work hard! Highly modifiable and achievable for all fitness levels. Arrive early to your first class to sign a waiver valid entire 2018 season. Program runs through Sept. 26th.

11 am – 3 pm – Downtown Whiting

Unleash your innter super hero! Dress in your favorite super hero costume. Enjoy free super hero activities up and down 119th St. Go above and beyond to win this year’s Costume Contest for all ages. See you there, super heroes!

Activities also include: Tomkat Comics vendor village, super hero training camp, bounce houses and attractions, obstacle course, and jousting arena.

Saturday, June 16th – Hammond Marina – 7:00 pm – 1540 Band

1540 is back by popular demand to rock in the 2018 season! Party on the patio at 7:00 p.m. on June 16th for this awesome band! Beer garden, food and great music!!

1st Ride and Rail Tour – Saturday, June 23rd. Begins promptly at 9:00 a.m.

The ride will begin in Downtown Whiting and will ride bicycle paths to Millenium Park in Downtown Chicago where riders will board a South Shore train to ride to Northwest Indiana. Exiting at the Hammond Station, riders will ride back to Whiting, receive a commemorative t-shirt, discount coupons for lunch at one of a number of participating restaurants, and a ticket for a special showing of the iconic bicycling movie "Breaking Away" at the Hoosier Theater.
