This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure that college assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies and reporting requirements. Will have direct management responsibility of the following: General Accountants , Credit Manager &amp; Accounts Payable\/Billing Supervisor, Student Financial Services and Business Office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with VPBF to manage Accounting processes and staff accountants<\/li>\n<li>Manage timely reviews &amp; approve all balance sheet accounts, including monthly bank reconciliation and GL account reconciliations<\/li>\n<li>Oversee monthly accounting entries and other close procedures, including quarterly and annual adjustments<\/li>\n<li>Optimize AR and AP functions<\/li>\n<li>Manage Accounting policies and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accounting compliance records<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications\/Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field<\/li>\n<li>5+ years progressive accounting or auditing experience<\/li>\n<li>Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices<\/li>\n<li>Experience in month-end closing processes, functional reporting, cash flow forecasting and preparation of reports.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Excel skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications\/Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in a higher education or other non-profit environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cover Letter<\/li>\n<li>CV\/Resume<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;40px&#8221; alter_height=&#8221;none&#8221; hide_on_mobile=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_btn title=&#8221;Apply Now&#8221; style=&#8221;outline&#8221; shape=&#8221;square&#8221; color=&#8221;black&#8221; i_align=&#8221;right&#8221; i_icon_fontawesome=&#8221;fas fa-caret-right&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;none&#8221; add_icon=&#8221;true&#8221; el_class=&#8221;ccsj-secondary-button&#8221; link=&#8221;url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ccsj.edu%2Fmore%2Femployment%2Fapplication-for-employment%2F|title:Application%20for%20Employment&#8221;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221; alter_height=&#8221;none&#8221; hide_on_mobile=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_separator color=&#8221;black&#8221; align=&#8221;align_left&#8221; el_width=&#8221;10&#8243;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221; alter_height=&#8221;none&#8221; hide_on_mobile=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text]<em>CCSJ is an equal opportunity employer and encourages candidates of typically underrepresented groups to apply.
