Scholarships and grants are a major part of how we help students pay for college and one of the most important ways we invest in you.

Whether you’re a strong student, a talented athlete, a musician or someone who just needs a little help to make college happen, we likely have something here for you. Once you’re admitted, you’re automatically considered for our scholarships and grants. Our goal is to make your education affordable from day one.

How to Apply for Scholarships

When you apply and are admitted to Calumet College, you’ll be automatically considered for most of our scholarships and grants. Some awards (like performance or community-based scholarships) may require a short conversation, audition or additional information. There are no extra forms or special deadlines to be awarded aid; simply complete your application for admission and your FAFSA.

Academic Scholarships

Presidential Scholarship

Up to $14,000 Annually

  • minimum 1270 SAT or 27 ACT and 3.5 high school GPA on a 4.0 scale required
  • student must maintain a 3.0 GPA while enrolled at CCSJ
  • full-time students ONLY
  • 8 semesters, fall and spring
Trustee Scholarship

Up to $9,500 Annually

  • minimum 1270 SAT or 27 ACT and 3.5 high school GPA on a 4.0 scale required
  • student must maintain a 3.0 GPA while enrolled at CCSJ
  • full-time students ONLY
  • 8 semesters, fall and spring
Marcia J. Ross Scholarship

Up to $5,000 Annually

  • minimum 1000 SAT or 19 ACT and 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale required
  • student must maintain a 3.0 GPA while enrolled at CCSJ
  • full-time students ONLY
  • 8 semesters, fall and spring
St. Gaspar’s Honors Learning Community

Up to $1,000 Annually

  • for select first-year and second-year students in the Honors Learning Community program
Transfer Scholarship

Up to $7,500 Annually

  • minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale averaged from all colleges previously attended
  • at least 12 hours of transferable college credit
  • student must maintain a 3.0 GPA while enrolled at CCSJ
  • renewable for 6 semesters

The Calumet Commitment

Your Senior Year Tuition Paid In Full

  • Enter Calumet College of St. Joseph as a freshman
  • Reach senior year by the 7th semester from the start of freshman year
  • Enter that 7th semester with a minimum GPA of 3.3
  • Have most recent FAFSA on file

Leadership & Talent Scholarships

Creative Performance Scholarship

Amount varies

  • must participate in the arts, including band, vocals, drama, and more
  • student must maintain a 3.0 GPA while enrolled at CCSJ
  • renewable for 8 semesters
  • scholarship decision is made by Office of Enrollment based on artistic work
Athletic Scholarship

Amount varies

  • Must play a sport
Horizon Scholars Program

$5,000

  • Off-campus internship required
Student Leadership Grant

Amount varies

  • Hold an on-campus leadership position
Women’s Guild Book Scholarship

Amount varies

  • Minimum GPA 2.5
  • Written 500-word essay
  • Demonstrate their commitment to service in the communities

Need-Based Scholarships

C.PP.S Scholarship

Up to $5,000 Annually

  • student must fall into the 1,500 SAI (Student Aid Index) upon completing the FAFSA
Hearst Scholarship

Amount varies

  • Minority student
  • Sophomore or Junior in standing
  • minimum 3.5 GPA
  • demonstrated need
Jim & Colleen Clark Endowment

Amount varies

  • Experiencing a hardship that requires financial assistance to stay in college
Wallace R. Nelson Grant

Amount varies

  • Demonstrate a financial need
  • Written 500-word essay, “Why do you want to earn a degree from Calumet College?”
