College Explorers: Free Youth Summer Camps at CCSJ
A VARIETY OF CAMPS TO MEET YOUR INTERESTS AND NEEDS
This summer, Calumet College of St. Joseph will offer seven free summer camps to students from first grade through high school. Each camp will focus on a subject area in reading, math, science or arts and culture, with the goals of:
- Developing and improving the student’s academic skills
- Expanding their interests
- Instilling confidence for future college successes

SUMMER READING CAMP
June 19 – July 17*
Reading fundamentals and enrichment through investigation of a common theme.
*Camp will close from June 27-July 9 for the 4th of July holiday.
MINDFULNESS & SPORTS
Grades 3-5: June 19-23
Grades 6-8: June 26-30
Yoga, mindfulness and meditation to promote resiliency as a foundation for academic and athletic success.
Session 1: June 19-23
Session 2: June 26-30
Stewardship of the earth and water resources through outdoor activity, lab work and discussions.
SCIENCE OF SPORTS
Session 1 (Girls Only): July 10-14
Session 2 (Boys Only): July 17-21
Experience STEM through sports at this new overnight camp!
SUMMER WITH SHAKESPEARE
Fundamentals of theater, both production and performance.
TEKTON MEDIA CAMP
July 24 – 28
Storytelling, the hero’s journey, image making and design.
MATH JUMP START
