ISIRs Are Delayed

The financial aid process can be tricky to navigate – especially this year, with all of the form changes the federal government has made. We want to give you an update and share some details about delays applicants will be experiencing in the coming months.

First Things First

  • If you have already submitted your FAFSA – WAY TO GO!
  • If you haven’t submitted it yet, please be sure to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible.

The Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) Is Delayed
For those who have completed the FAFSA, the Department of Education has announced that colleges should now expect to receive student ISIRs by late March.

What Does This Mean and Why Does It Matter?

  • The federal government issues a document, the ISIR, which summarizes the information submitted on your FAFSA.
  • Colleges use the ISIR to determine your financial aid eligibility and package details.
  • The ISIR has been delayed until late March. Unfortunately, we cannot determine your aid package until we receive your ISIR.
  • After we receive your ISIR in late March, we will contact you to explain what government aid you have been awarded and discuss which institutional grants CCSJ can offer you.

All of us at CCSJ understand the importance of affordability and accessibility in education, and we actively work to provide various avenues for financial assistance.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss this in more detail, please contact your Enrollment Counselor or the Office of Financial Aid.
