Calumet College of St. Joseph recently received approval from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) to transition its Master of Science in Management (MSM) to a Master of Business Administration (MBA) graduate degree. The College will now offer an MBA program designed to provide students with broader exposure to leadership, strategy, and decision-making skills.
The program consists of twelve rigorous courses with a completion timeline of 12–18 months. Courses are delivered synchronously online, except for the in-person Leadership Residency. Held annually over a long weekend, the Leadership Residency is a required element of the capstone course, serving as a vital networking and professional development opportunity for MBA students. The residency allows students to apply their studies through high-level industry networking, leadership workshops, case study discussions, and keynote speakers.
“The Leadership Residency is something I am very excited about for our students,” said Dr. Catherine Lopez-Gonzalez, MBA Program Director. “I believe this on-campus residency is something that sets CCSJ’s MBA program apart.”
The MBA program at CCSJ is designed to prepare students with advanced knowledge, strategic insights, and practical skills essential for leadership roles in today’s dynamic business environment. With experienced faculty and through a comprehensive curriculum that integrates core business disciplines, ethical frameworks, and real-world applications, graduates will be prepared to lead organizations with competence, integrity, and innovation.
